Creating characters that demand our attention is a constant struggle for writers, directors and actors.

Some spend a lifetime trying to develop this skill while others seem to know instinctively what to put into the mix to make their characters “unique”.

Katie Boland as Tess, seems to us to be in that “unique” category. 

Ferocious, Robert Cuffley’s new independent movie has brought together a catalogue of intriguing characters. An interesting, sometimes disturbing mix, which film fans will be drawn to one way or another.

Today’s exposé is on the female lead character Tess: 

A young, wide-eyed celebrity wannabe, Tess has gone as far as to forsake friends in order to fixate on a career in television and movies. This despite being largely unaware of what it takes to make it in that particular business.

She longs to be discovered and to be pulled from her mundane life. Meeting Leigh like she does is something she can scarcely believe is happening to her…an opportunity she doesn’t plan on passing up.
